Border Incursion

UN observers reported that people they suspect were US soldiers in civvies were in the Demilitarized Zone between Kuwait and Iraq. US troops are prohibited from entering the area which was set up after Gulf War I. The observers reported that seven gaps were later found in the electric fence where the plainclothes soldiers had been. We're goin' to War!

A Stupidity

Saddam Hussein said that if the US attacks Iraq it would be committing a stupidity. He says the Iraqis will fight just like they in '91. How can you rattle your saber while threatening to surrender in mass? Oh well, he gets credit for trying.

Our Poodle's Been Acting Up

Leftists in the United Kingdom have long accused Tony Blair of being Bush's poodle, because he so slavishly does what he's told. Well, back in the 80's the UK supported building a chemical plant for Saddam in Iraq. They knew he was gassing thousands of Iranians at the time they built the plant, and they also knew he would use the plant to produce more chemical weapons. They hid all this from the US government, and claimed they were helping out with stopping the proliferation of chemical weapons. I don't know who the poodle was here, but it really is a great scam.

Weak In The Knees?

Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, has announced that the US is studying pulling troops back from the Demilitarized Zone in Korea. Would that mean that we're backing down? Hmm...I think that might set a bad precedent. Like the US prefers peace to war. Is Rumsfeld gonna start wearing maxipads now?

The Axis of Obstinance

France, Russia, and Germany have re-affirmed their commitment to disarming Iraq thru peaceful means. They say they will not support a second resolution in the UN Security Council allowing military force. What's W going to call them? The Axis of Old Europe?

Victorious? Yeah, Just Like Last Time.

Saddam Hussein announced in a message to the Iraqi people that they will come out victorious against any aggression. Well, he is still in power, and George Bush Sr. isn't.

Where's a Cop When You Need One?

Where is that NYPD officer, Justin Volpe, when we need him? He's the one convicted of ramming a wooden stick up Abner Louima's ass. Now that we've caught Khalid Sheikh Mohammed the Al Qaeda mastermind, maybe we could use Officer Volpe's services. The latest says that Mohammed is being held by US forces at Bagram AFB in Afghanistan. It shouldn't take long to get Justin over there.

Nuclear Disaster Threatened!

North Korea is threatening again. This time they say that if the US invades them, North Korea will respond with nukes. OK, OK, you get to be at the top of the list! North Korea is #1 in saber rattling! Are you happy now?

He Said What? Well, We'll Just See About That!

According to a British newspaper, the United States has been tapping phones and intercepting email from the non-permanent members of the UN Security Council. It seems we are doing this to help us get their votes on the war with Iraq. What the fuck are these heavy-handed monkeys in the Bush Administration thinking? Don't they think this will just piss them off? And how, pray tell, were they going to keep this secret? Goddamn, these guys are dumb!
